The Museo del Novecento, located inside the Palazzo dell’Arengario in Piazza del Duomo in Milan (Italy), hosts a collection of over four thousand works one of the important 20th-century Italian art selections.

The museum is active in the conservation, investigation and promotion of 20th-century Italian cultural and artistic heritage with the goal of reaching an ever wider audience.

Discover the Museo del Novecento collections through 5 online stories and 11 virtual visits created by Google Arts & Culture.

The Museum is featuring new materials on their social channels: Instagram,  Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter.

On Instagram you can explore an interesting initiative,  #TemporaryClosed. It is their little review,  in collaboration with Cineteca di Milano, of a selection of scenes from the history of cinema set in the halls of the main museums (now closed) that celebrate their dynamic identity.

Another initiative includes CONCERTS hosted by the museum in the last ten years reposted every Monday,  at 10:00 am.

Lastly, I choose this very funny video by Italia Slow Tour

The Milan municipal museums will open Tuesday, 18 May, in rotation. Therefore from May 18, the Museo del Novecento will be open (on booking) only on Saturdays and Sundays (+ Friday, 22 May).

So keep following the Museo del Novecento online! And visit this page every Thursday for updates from me and Karen Jackson.
