FREDIANO FINUCCI | Operazione Satellite
Not only soldiers, ships, and drones. The conflict in Ukraine has also been fought in space ever since the Russian occupation of Crimea, with reciprocal attacks on civilian and military satellites by Moscow and Washington. In Operation Satellite, Frediano Finucci reconstructs for the first time—through unpublished sources and interviews—the incredible and largely unknown skirmishes between superpowers (the United States, Russia, and China) taking place hundreds of kilometers above the Earth. A well-documented investigation, a rare work of popular nonfiction that reveals the very latest satellite technologies, once reserved exclusively for the military and governments and now available even to ordinary citizens, with economic, social, and geopolitical implications previously unimaginable.
