Professor Donald Jensen

Dr. Donald N. Jensen is a senior advisor for Russia and Europe at the U.S. Institute of Peace (USIP) and Adjunct Professor at the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, Johns Hopkins University. He is Associate Fellow at the Gino Germani Institute for Social Sciences and Strategic Studies.

He is a Senior Fellow at the Center for Transatlantic Relations, Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and Adjunct Senior Fellow, Center for European Policy Analysis. From 2002-2008 he was Director of Research and Analysis at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, where he oversaw that international news organization’s analytical publications, including the daily RFE/RL Newsline.Donald N. Jensen also managed the organization’s extensive program of conferences and briefings. He writes extensively on the domestic, foreign, and security policies of Russia, Ukraine, and the other post-Soviet states. He also regularly appears as a commentary on domestic and international media. He has lectured at a variety of universities, including Harvard, Oxford and George Washington University. Dr. Jensen received his B.A. from Columbia University and Master’s and Ph.D. in government from Harvard.
